SOLDIERS ENGAGE IN PSYCHOLOGICAL OPERATIONS AND AWARENESS TRAINING
Militants causing disturbances in the Niger
Delta may have courted more trouble following a recent training pattern by the
Nigerian army.
A photo showed the military men
singing war songs and training using different formations at the barracks in
Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital.
During the training of the 133 Special
Forces Battalion in Psychological Operations and Awareness, the soldiers were
also seen taking series of positions with ‘leaf-coated bodies’ as they crawled
on the floor and switched places as they looked set to show different war,
battle situations in the event of an attack or an ambush.
Some of the soldiers were clad in outfits to
suggest they were under leaves. Photo: Defense Headquarters.

The video share by the military spokesperson,
Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman also showed other soldiers who were not on the
‘battle field’ giving moral support to their colleagues who were showing their
skills in training.
Meanwhile, men of the Nigerian army say they
have arrested a high profile suspected Boko Haram terrorist, Mohammed Mohammed
Zauro at Sabon Gari, Damboa Local Government Area, Borno state.
According to the military, the suspect was
picked up at about 8.30am on Tuesday.
“Preliminary investigation shows that the
suspected terrorist kingpin was arrested as he was trying to flee to Birnin
Kebbi, Kebbi State, from Sambisa forest.
“The
troops recovered a Gionee brand of mobile telephone handset and a fake
SAIE/JIBWIS identification card to perfect his escape and the sum of
N7,900.00k.”
