‘WE’VE BEEN BUSY’ – UBI FRANKLIN ‘EXPLAINS’ WHY SONY IS YET TO ANNOUNCE TEKNO DEAL

Triple MG Boss, Ubi Franklin, has explained the reason why Sony Music is yet to announce its reported deal with his artiste, Tekno Miles. The artiste manager and Paul Okoye of Upfront & Personal were videoed alongside Tekno signing some documents on November 22, 2016 as they announced that a deal with Music giants, Sony had been done. But there has not been any communication to that effect till now from Sony and Ubi says it is because the documents they signed last year was actually a preliminary deal.

He explained in an interview with Buzz’r TV,

 “You know signing such a deal is not something you can just fly in and do in a day and come back and we were in a busy period at that time so what we did was a preliminary signing. We had been working on the contract for about three months, sending it back and forth until the contract was right then we signed our copy. We then send the document to them and they put their own signature on it so it is when we go there this January that we will pick up our copy (the one they have signed on) and that is when they would officially announce it.”

Meanwhile, Naijaloaded.com reports that both Ubi Franklin and Tekno have departed Lagos, Nigeria for New York where they would presumably tidy up the fine details of the singer’s Sony deal.
